About Melvin

Senior Operations Manager and Military Veteran with over 24 years of proven experience in agency and corporate environments. Accomplished measurable results while leading complex organizations. I possess a comprehensive background in project management, process improvement, budget analysis, and talent management derived from conducting domestic and global operations. My experience aligns with every critical issue El Paso Independent School District is currently undergoing. The issues are concerning and reveals the lack of leadership in the Board of Trustees. My knowledge will mold a vision to enhance District 5 ensuring every student, facilitator, staff member, and families’ flourish.

Reason for Candidacy

While the 32.2-million-dollar deficit, clearly hurts our ability to provide the best education possible. We need a fighter for our children. Unfortunately, increasingly our local and state leaders continue to ignore the disrepair of many of our schools and sadly schools like Andress and Charles remain in desperate need of serious infrastructure upgrades or essentially a complete rebuild. My candidacy for school board has 5 goals:

Facilities Improvement

Educational Resource Funding

Stronger, Teacher, Administrator, and Support Staff Communication

Increased Cooperation between board, Superintendent, and district entities

Teacher and Staff Pay Improvements

My Promise

I will bring feasible objectives, refreshing thoughts, and realistic goals utilizing a strategic and revolutionary mindset focusing to reduce the budget crisis. I am committed to funding our educators, upgrading facilities, and reviving educational resources/programs.

Time For New Leadership, Time for Present Leadership, Time for Relevant Leadership, and Time for Real Leadership… TIME FOR MILTON LEADERSHIP!!!
